Weekend Crime Spree Hits Three Rocklin Neighborhoods In 15-Hour Span
ROCKLIN (CBS13) — Rocklin Police say they are closer to finding who is responsible for a weekend crime spree.
Three neighborhoods were hit with 15 acts of violence in a 15-hour period.
Devon Kelly woke up on Sunday morning to find her SUV was missing.
"I walk out to the driveway and I'm looking and I'm like where's my car," she said.
Heading back inside to find her car keys she made another discovery, her purse with her car keys inside sitting on the kitchen counter was missing. The thieves had been inside her home
"They came in through the back door and garage then we started noticing all these things were missing—the bikes were gone, the scooters were gone, my purse was gone," she said.
Across the street neighbor Dennis Debono found his two cars in his driveway vandalized.
"Both the cars had been graffitied and the Acura had obscenities written on it," he said.
Rocklin Police say the crimes spree started at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and continued Sunday until 10:30 a.m. Police say the suspects broke into homes, stole two vehicles, bicycles and scooters and spray painted cars, buildings and homes.
One of the two stolen cars was recovered, but investigators are still trying to locate a gray 2008 Acura RDX SUV. They are also confident a witness could bring this crime spree case to a close.
