Arson Suspected In East Sacramento Restaurant Fire
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - The fire that tore through an East Sacramento business early Monday morning may have been the work of an arsonist.
The City of Sacramento Fire Department now says there was enough evidence inside the burned-out shell of Crepe and Burger restaruant on 56th and H streets to indicate the fire was intentionally set.
Firefighters were able to stop the fire before flames spread to neighboring businesses.
While crews were battling the blaze, a water main across the street broke and spilled an estimated few thousand gallons of water into the street.
The business is a total loss.
The owner says he thinks someone threw a Molotov cocktail inside the business. He says he will rebuild.
