Turlock Man Accused Of Holding Girlfriend In Dog Crate Agrees To Plea Deal

TURLOCK (CBS13) – A Turlock man has agreed to a plea deal for holding his girlfriend in a large dog crate for hours.

Frank Guerra, 22, faces up to ten years in prison.

On Wednesday, Guerra pleaded no contest to kidnapping battery with serious injury and inflicting corporal injury.

Prosecutors said Guerra abused his girlfriend between August 2015 to January of this year. Guerra's girlfriend claimed he physically abused her by locking her in a dog crate for hours.

The woman was able to get away. Guerra was later arrested by Turlock Police in February on kidnapping and battery charges.

He will be sentenced in May.
