Alpacas killed by pack of dogs on California farm

TURLOCK — A dozen animals were killed and a dozen others were injured after being attacked by a pack of dogs on a farm just south of Turlock earlier this month, authorities said Monday.

The Merced County Sheriff's Office said six dogs got onto Macedo's Mini Acre near the Turlock-Merced county line on November 10 and 11.

One llama and 11 alpacas were killed. Another 12 alpacas were injured.

Two of the six dogs have been captured so far as of this story.

The farm's owner told CBS Sacramento that are currently only caring for the 12 injured alpacas and have moved the rest of their animals to another farm for safety.
