Victims Of South Sacramento Triple Homicide Identified

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Deputies are continuing to search for the gunmen behind a shooting at a South Sacramento home that left three men dead on Thursday morning.

The shooting happened just before 6:30 a.m. on 8779 Ardith Drive. A group of men, all wearing dark clothing and masks, barged into the home with a plan to rob the family but ended up shooting and killing 56-year-old Thanh Le and his two sons, 21-year-old Tien Le and 32-year-old Dong Le.

"We know they were wearing dark clothing and masks and they fled in a vehicle which was described as a dark-colored compact," said Sgt. Turnbull. "In cases like these, they are very rarely a random event and the family was most likely targeted."

Sheriff's detectives combed the home for more than 12 hours Thursday, interviewing family and neighbors of the victims.

Detectives tell CBS13 they don't suspect narcotics or gang activity to be a motive.
