Tree Falls Onto Modesto House, Injuring Homeowner
MODESTO (CBS13) – It was an unwelcome Easter Sunday surprise for a Modesto man.
"This is the biggest tree around here," said neighbor Barbara Helton.
It's hard to find the front door after this home received a giant gash from a powerful crash.
The tree didn't just break though this rooftop, it hit him on the head.
Helton says a limb pierced straight through the man's ceiling and came down on top of him.
"It's, like, through the house," Helton said.
Torn up asphalt shows where the roots wouldn't hold anymore. His neighbor found him outside the home, bleeding.
"He had blood coming from his head," Helton said.
The man's family says he has big cut on his head and that doctors used staples to help close-up. He is expected to be OK.
