Tracy Police Investigating City's First Homicide In Two Years

TRACY (CBS13) – Police in Tracy say they are investigating an early morning shooting that has taken the life of a 25-year-old man – the city's first homicide in two years.

Officers were called to the 1900 block of Notre Dame Court a little before 1:30 a.m. Sunday after getting numerous reports of shots fired, according to the Tracy Police Department. At the scene, officers found a man outside of a home that had been shot.

The man was unresponsive, police say, and was taken to a local hospital. Two hours later, the man was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made and no suspect information has been released.

Police note that it has been two years since the last homicide in Tracy, the last one happening in Sept. 2012.
