Three NBA MVP Candidates

The race is closer than ever in the NBA, the MVP race that is. Here are the top three candidates for this season's NBA MVP.

1. James Harden

Harden can manufacture offensive for himself and others just by shredding defenses and getting to the free throw line and controlling the action. He is averaging 27.1 points, 7 assists and 5.8 rebounds per game.

2. Steph Curry

Curry is averaging 23.4 points, 7.9 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game. He has also continued improvement as a leader and playmaker has been overshadowed by his prowess as a shooter and scorer.

3. LeBron James

James is having another MVP-type season — 25.9 points, 7.3 assists, 5.8 rebounds per game and shooting 49.2% from the field. His Cleveland Cavaliers are headed for their first 50-win season since 2009-10, which was James' last season in his first go-around with the team.
