Third Grade Teacher Accused Of DUI Expected In Court Monday

SACRAMENTO COUNTY (CBS13) - Patricia Robertson, the local teacher accused of driving while under the influence, will appear in court on Monday.

Officers say Robertson was above the legal limit on December 4 when she crashed into two cars and eventually into a home. All of this happened while she was heading to work as a third grade teacher at Earl Warren Elementary School.

Court records show this isn't the first time the 56-year-old has driven under the influence. In 2011, Robertson pleaded no contest to a DUI charge.

A spokesperson with the school district says they are taking this matter seriously, and if the allegations are true, she will likely be placed on administrative leave.

Robertson is expected in court at 1:30 p.m.
