Today's installment of the Grant Napear Show opened with discussion of the weekend's arrest of San Francisco 49er's defensive end Ray McDonald and his attendance at practice this week, as well as the likelihood he will be in uniform this Sunday in Dallas.
Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee was then on the show to discuss the arrest, as well as the options Jim Harbaugh and the 49ers front office have in dealing with the domestic violence suspect.
Grant then moved across the Bay to discuss Dennis Allen's decision to start Derek Carr this Sunday in New York, expressing his belief that Matt Schaub's health ultimately forced Allen into making that decision.
Grant had Steve Wyche from the NFL Network on today's show to talk about the National Football League's opening regular season game between the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks, as well as the league's other marquee matchups on opening weekend.
Grant's rant featured a segment on Ray McDonald and how the situation could ideally be handled, Grant proposing that the 9ers suspend McDonald from the team with pay until more details of the arrest are released.
Raider legend Jim Plunkett joined Grant next to talk about the Raiders preseason and their chances of starting the season 2-0 after games against the beatable Jets and Texans.
The show wrapped up with analysis of the weekend the Oakland A's and San Francisco just completed, discussing the likelihood that either team manifest their hot starts into playoff berths.
