Grant opened the first segment of the show during the Kings' post-season by discussing the 29-win year by the club, noting that the Pelicans made the playoffs out of the Western Conference with only 45 wins this year. Looking back at the season, Grant mentioned the fact that DeMarcus Cousins missed multiple weeks early on in the season with viral meningitis and that Darren Collison never had an opportunity to play under George Karl.
