Teen Arrested In Connection With Fatal Hit And Run In Arden Arcade

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - A teen has been arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run on Wednesday morning in the Arden Arcade area of Sacramento.

The incident happened just before 7 a.m. on Marconi Avenue at Calderwood Lane, just east of Fulton Avenue. California Highway Patrol says the car took off after hitting the victim.

The suspect, 18-year-old Sabina Carrillo, turned herself in to a private investigator and later met with CHP detectives, according to CHP spokesperson Chad Hertzell. She will be booked into jail on charges of felony hit and run.

It's unknown if someone else was in the vehicle at the time of the incident.

Carrillo was scheduled to graduate high school on June 11.

The Sacramento County Coroner has identified the victim as Stephen Vuletich.
