"Dangerous" suspect is custody after lockdown at Roseville church, learning center

Suspect in custody after running from Placer County deputies

ROSEVILLE – A suspect authorities said was dangerous and caused a Roseville church and learning center to go on lockdown has been taken into custody.

The Placer County Sheriff's Office said they responded to the area of Fiddyment Road and Baseline Road for reports of a suspicious vehicle around 6:45 a.m.  Deputies said a man from inside the vehicle ran. 

The suspect, who was identified as a 15-year-old, was considered to be dangerous, deputies say. 

The Play Care Learning Center and St. Clare Catholic Church were placed on lockdown and a perimeter was set up on Fiddyment Road, Baseline Road and Junction Boulevard. 

Authorities are searching for a suspect in Roseville they say is dangerous. Anyone who sees the suspect should call 911. Placer County Sheriff's Office

The suspect was described as a Hispanic man, 5'10", wearing a gray sweatshirt and black pants. 

Around 10:20 a.m., the teen was seen jumping a fence and was eventually taken into custody.

The Roseville Police Department worked with the sheriff's office.
