Suspected Drug Operation At Davis Trailer Park Raided By Authorities
DAVIS (CBS13) – Police say they raided a Davis trailer park Wednesday morning after a months-long investigation into an alleged drug operation.
The raid happened a little after 8 a.m., according to the Davis Police Department. Five residences at the Royal Oaks on Artis Lane trailer park were raided.
Police say that a total of 168 marijuana plants and 3 pounds of processed marijuana were seized. A hash oil lab was also uncovered. Further, a search warrant related to Wednesday's operation also uncovered 1.5 pounds of meth at a residence in Sacramento.
Multiple guns and ammunition – including two assault rifles – along with tools and parts allegedly being used to make weapons were also found at the trailer park.
The raid has resulted in the arrest of five Davis residents: 23-year-old Rudy Garcia Gonzalez, 26-year-old Amanda Tibbs, 27-year-old Kenneth Moriarty, 28-year-old Erik Bryon Scott and 38-year-old Melissa Ann Weston. Police have not released the exact charges against the five.
Police note that two children found during the raid have been placed in protective custody.
One of the residences at the trailer park was condemned as well.
Numerous agencies from Yolo County, Sacramento and California Highway Patrol took part in the operation, which was four months in the making.
