Suspect taken into custody after being barricaded in Rancho Cordova residence
RANCHO CORDOVA - An armed suspect has been detained after he barricaded himself in a structure in Rancho Cordova, say authorities.
At around 10:20 a.m., authorities attempted to make contact with a man in the area of Folsom Boulevard and W. La Loma Drive in Rancho Cordova. There, a man barricaded himself inside a residence, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office.
A short time later, a Sacramento County Sheriff's Office spokesperson said the suspect was armed, was wanted on four outstanding warrants, and may have been in the area of El Parque Circle and Bravado Drive.
At around 12:45 p.m., CBS13 learned that the man had been peacefully taken into custody.
