Structure Fire Burning Along West Capitol Avenue In West Sacramento

WEST SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A structure fire has closed down a portion of West Capitol Avenue on Friday evening, the West Sacramento Police Department said.
The fire is burning near the westbound connector to Highway 50. West Sacramento Fire says the structure is a vacant two-story commercial building. Firefighters said the fire was already through the roof by the time they arrived.
It has been contained to one structure.
Police said to avoid West Capitol from Pine Avenue to Enterprise Boulevard as the area is closed.
The cause of the fire was not revealed.
Firefighters expect to remain on the scene for most of the night to mop up.
