Storm Bringing Rain To Valley Around Midnight Tonight

Our Easter Sunday storm dropped mainly .10 inch rain totals in the valley, with 7 inches of snow measured at Kingvale in the Sierra. Today we're in a lull, with increasing clouds and breezes this afternoon, keeping us cool.

Rain moves into the valley after midnight tonight, with widespread showers throughout the day Tuesday. Afternoon thunderstorms are possible, with small hail and gusty winds. Valley and foothill rain totals Tuesday are expected to range from .50–1.25 inches.

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the Sierra above 3,500 feet all day Tuesday. Snow totals of 6-12 inches are possible at 4,000 feet, with 1-2 feet possible at highest peaks.

Showers will taper off Wednesday morning, with drier and warmer weather coming later this week.
