Deadly stabbing investigation underway in old north Sacramento area
SACRAMENTO — Authorities are investigating a deadly stabbing that happened in the old north Sacramento area Thursday evening.
The scene was at Traction Avenue and Colfax Street, which is just off Arden Way near the Camp Resolution homeless grounds around 4:20 p.m.
The Sacramento Police Department said two people were stabbed. One man died at the scene and another man was taken to the hospital but is expected to survive.
Roads in the area are expected to be closed for some time as investigators work the scene.
Homicide investigators responded to the area and have taken over the investigation.
No arrests have been made and no information about a suspect was available.
