Southbound Highway 99 Blocked Past Elk Grove Due To Big Rig Crash

SACRAMENTO COUNTY (CBS13) - A big rig crash has closed southbound Highway 99 just past Elk Grove for the time being.
California Highway Patrol says an overturned big rig near Eschinger Road is dangling off the side of an overpass and partially blocking the roadway. Traffic is being diverted off the freeway at Dillard Road to Grantline Road.

Authorities expect the freeway to be closed for some time.
