Snow A Welcome Sight In Sierra One Day Before Snow Survey Reveals New Drought Data

BLUE CANYON (CBS13) — A weekend storm brought more than a foot of snow to many areas over the weekend, and continued falling on Monday.

"It's been really tough, we do a lot of winter water sports in summer as well, so the lakes end up suffering and obviously fire season," said Brian Benson.

The recent snow that coated the slopes and sent some cars off of the road barely made a dent in the Sierra snowpack, which has hit historic lows in recent snow surveys. The next one is slated for Tuesday.
