SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Tuesday's round of wet weather are expected to be light, but the next few days should be impressive.

Light showers should arrive by Tuesday afternoon, beginning a very active weather pattern through the end of the week.

Snow levels will rise as warmer air arrives on Wednesday. This means only light snow totals for this round.

Winds will get stronger on Thursday as heavier rain arrives. A Wind Advisory and Flood Advisory will kick in for much of the area at this point.

As temperatures drop heading into Friday, it will kick heavier Sierra snow into gear. A Winter Storm Watch is expected for the western slope of the Sierra at this point.
