Police had received information that Gonzalez was inside a vehicle in the 100 block of Muir Street, so officers blocked off the street and tried to make contact with Gonzalez. Officers then used a robot to check if Gonzalez was inside the vehicle.

Police asked residents in the area from Schuler Ranch Drive to West Kentucky Avenue and Mariposa Street to North Cottonwood Street to stay in their homes as they attempted to locate the parolee. The incident started around 1 p.m. on Wednesday.
