STOCKTON (CBS13) – The week is being sent off with a bit of a bang as thunderstorms roll through the region.

Lightning has been seen splintering across the Central Valley overnight.

We've seen activity generally south of Sacramento in the Stockton region.

Showers could follow those storms.
