Sacramento Kings Opener Will Be Shown In Virtual Reality

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — The Sacramento Kings will be the first team highlighted in a new virtual reality partnership with the NBA.

The Oct. 27 opener for the Golden 1 Center against the San Antonio Spurs will be delivered in virtual reality. The deal between NBA Digital and Next VR aims to have at least one game streaming per week in virtual reality throughout the season.

Currently, it's only open to Samsung Gear VR owners, but the hope is to have it available for more systems later in the season.
