Resident hurt, cat dies in Roseville duplex fire on Christmas Eve

ROSEVILLE – A duplex caught fire in Roseville on Christmas Eve morning, leaving a resident hurt and a pet deceased.

Roseville Fire says their crews responded to the scene in the Lead Hill neighborhood a little before 8 a.m. Firefighters found a one-story duplex had caught fire.

Crews worked quickly to contain the flames. The extent of the damage is unclear, however.

Firefighters say the resident of the duplex was treated at the scene and was taken to the hospital. The extent of the person's injuries was not known. 

One of the resident's cats also didn't survive the fire, officials say.
