Rod Wave's Sacramento concert rescheduled for January

SACRAMENTO – A new date for Rod Wave's concert at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento has been announced after it was postponed in October

The concert is now scheduled to take place at Golden 1 Center on Jan. 5 after it was canceled on Oct. 25 and then canceled again the following day due to staffing issues.

Two hours after the show was supposed to start on Oct. 25, Sacramento police responded to the Downtown Commons (DOCO) after reports of gunfire but found that fireworks were set off.

The Sacramento Fire Department said the big issue that night was a late start and the crowd becoming upset over that late start.

A concert-goer said people tore down metal detectors, barricades and fences.

Tickets for the Jan. 5 show will be honored. Those who want a refund could seek one through the original point of purchase.
