Rocklin Parents Accuse School Board Of Covering Up Abuse Allegations Against Special Ed Teacher

ROCKLIN (CBS13) — Parents are alleging a cover-up by Rocklin school board members of allegations against a Rocklin special education teacher.

Parent Keith Caldwell and more than 75 others filled the school board meeting, blasting Rocklin Unified School Board members, saying they covered up the allegations for months.

They say a police report proves the district was aware of the abuse allegations against Breen Elementary teacher Sherry McDaniel last November. But they say it wasn't until an anonymous called told police that parents learned about it.

Nichole Hill is one of the families suing the district claiming her son with autism was repeatedly abused by McDaniel.

The longtime teacher is on paid administrative leave while the investigation continues.

Breen Elementary Principal Chuck Tebadew refused to answer CBS13's questions.
