Maggiano's Little Italy Closing Arden Fair Mall Location By July

UPDATE: President of Maggiano's Steve Provost released a statement late Thursday morning confirming the news.

"Unfortunately, at the end of June/early July, we will be closing the Maggiano's Sacramento restaurant. We are extremely grateful to the loyal guests who visited this restaurant over the past two years and our amazing teammates who ensured a memorable Maggiano's experience. We constantly review the performance of our restaurants and from time to time we have to make the tough decision to close. We are working closely with impacted teammates to support in finding placements at other locations."

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A prominently featured Italian restaurant in the Arden Fair mall is closing soon, according to a state report.

Maggiano's Little Italy appeared on a report from the Employment Development Department saying the restaurant plans to close its doors by the beginning of July.

The listing says 103 people will lose their jobs in the closure.

Maggiano's has been at the mall for around a year and a half.
