Relive Dallas Braden's Perfect Mother's Day

Just six years ago, May 9, 2010, former Oakland Athletics pitcher Dallas Braden threw the 19th perfect game in Major League Baseball history.

That alone would make any day special, but Braden threw his perfect game on Mother's Day.

His mother passed away after a battle with cancer when he was just a teenager growing up in Stockton. Needless to say, it was a very emotional day for the lefty.

It became even more emotional when his grandmother came down on the field to congratulate his grandson. His grandmother became his primary guardian after his mother passed away.

The embrace between Braden and his grandmother is a picture which will live in baseball history.
