Realtor Kidnapped, Held At Gunpoint During Appointment To Show Elk Grove Home
ELK GROVE (CBS13) — A Realtor who planned on showing a home instead ended up with a gun in her face, Elk Grove Police said on Thursday.
The Realtor came to show a model home to someone she thought was a potential buyer, but instead was handcuffed and held captive by a man who is still on the run.
"When officers first arrived, she was visibly shaken," said Elk Grove Police spokesman Chris Trim.
For about an hour, police say the man held her captive. He then left in a truck.
"The agent exited the home, flagged down a security officer who was passing by, and he transported her to a Walmart on Elk Grove Boulevard and we were notified," Trim said.
The suspect didn't take any money from the Realtor or anything from the home.
"Fortunately the victim was unharmed; she was not sexually assaulted," Trim said.
The man wasn't wearing a mask, so the Realtor got a good look at his face.
"She did have an appointment with him so we do have some leads to work on and we are diligently following up on those right now," Trim said.
