Prolific Graffiti Vandal Arrested When He Returned To Admire His Work
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- San Francisco police say they arrested one of the city's most prolific graffiti vandals when he returned to the scene of the crime to photograph his handiwork.
Police Capt. Dan Perea tells KTVU-TV authorities had been trying for months to track dawn a tagger who painted "Cryst" and "Sheep" in businesses, people's homes, city property and many other places.
Police arrested alleged tagger Andrew Yarbrough Thursday after a man saw him tagging public property and called police, who tracked him down to a park where he was taking photos of a wall that had recently been tagged with the word "Cryst."
Perea says the 18-year-old also had a bag containing different kinds of paint.
He was arrested after the caller positively identified him as the same person seen earlier vandalizing public property.
He was arrested on suspicion of 27 counts of vandalism.
