Authorities clear standoff scene in North Highlands neighborhood
NORTH HIGHLANDS — Authorities cleared the scene of a standoff with a possibly armed suspect in the North Highlands area on Monday night.
The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office said the scene was along Rescue Court. The suspect was reportedly wanted for felony criminal threats, authorities said.
The suspect was only described as a man in his 40s.
Late Monday night, law enforcement cleared the scene without making an arrest. The sheriff's office told CBS Sacramento that they determined the suspect was the only person in the home and that it was best to leave the scene "to avoid creating an unnecessary negative encounter."
