Police Investigate South Sacramento Homicide
SACRAMENTO,CA (CBS 13) -- A teenager is dead after a shooting in South Sacramento this morning.
Sacramento Police officer's responded to the 7400 block of 17th Avenue regarding the report of a shooting.
Before arriving to the scene family members transported the 16-year-old male to a local medical facility; from there he was transported to a trauma center where he died from his injuries.
Homicide detectives and gang detectives were called out to the crime scene to canvass the area. A motive has not been determined, this does not appear to be a random act.
The investigation remains active and no have been made.
