Police Investigate Disturbance At Fairfield Mall, No Injuries Reported

FAIRFIELD (CBS13) - Police are investigating after a reported shooting at the Solano Town Center mall.

The incident happened a little before 8 p.m. Saturday. According to the Fairfield Police Department, officers responded to the mall after a report of a man in a mask carrying a gun.

Further, police were told that the suspect may have fired some shots at a group inside the food court. However, no bullet casings, damage or any other evidence that a shooting actually happened has been discovered.

Officers searched through the mall and soon detained three people who tried to run. Those three are being interviewed to see if they were somehow involved in the incident.

Another person was later arrested, but not related to the mall incident.

Investigators believe the incident was not a random act, as it appears the two groups involved looked to have known each other.

Anyone with more information about the incident is asked to call police at (707) 428-7600.
