PG&E Moves Forward With Shutoffs For 150,000 Customers Wednesday
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — PG&E will cut power to parts of 18 counties on Wednesday morning, the utility announced Thursday night.
The shutoff will impact approximately 150,000 customers starting Wednesday morning in parts of the Sierra Foothills, North Bay and North Valley.
The following counties will be impacted by the shutoffs: Amador, Butte, Colusa, El Dorado, Glenn, Lake, Mendocino, Napa, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Shasta, Sierra, Solano, Sonoma, Tehama, Yolo and Yuba. You can check your address here.
PG&E said shutoffs will begin as early as 6 a.m. Wednesday but some customers may not be impacted until 4 p.m., depending on the weather in their area. They expect the weather will clear by mid-morning Thursday, allowing crews to inspect power lines and restore power Thursday.

The Governor's Office of Emergency services announced Tuesday they will active the State Operations Center on Wednesday morning at 7 a.m. to try and mitigate any consequences of the Public Safety Power Shutoff. Cal OES said their priority is to do "whatever is necessary to protect lives and to ensure that our most vulnerable communities are safe, especially seniors, disabled and those with medical needs."
Originally, six other counties were included in the predicted PSPS event, which was announced Sunday. Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz and San Mateo counties are no longer impacted, according to PG&E, because of changes in the weather conditions.
