Old Sacramento's Christmas tree delivered; official lighting ceremony set for Nov. 27

Old Sacramento's Christmas tree arrives

SACRAMENTO – The Old Sacramento holiday tree has been delivered.

CBS13 followed the truck carrying the tree on the last leg of its journey down from Siskiyou County on Interstate 5. It arrived in Old Sacramento a little after 6 a.m. Wednesday.

This year, the Christmas tree is a 60', around 12,000-pound tapered white fir.

Crews will be spending the day setting up the tree in its usual spot between Front and Second streets.

After that, a team from Stage Nine Exhibits will be decorating the tree with around 24,000 lights.

The official lighting ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 27 at 6 p.m.
