Oakland A's Fans Come Out To See New Triple-A Affiliate Come To Sacramento After Switch

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — For the first time since the Sacramento River Cats switched their affiliation in the offseason, the Oakland A's triple-A team came to Sacramento.

From the very first pitch on Monday, the hands came together louder than normal for the visiting team. That's because Oakland A's fans were standing tall in what is now the land of Giants.

For many sporting the green and gold, it was a bittersweet moment. But there were homecoming hugs for the first game of a four-game series and autographs to grab.

It's not a stretch to say more than a few weren't rooting for the home team.

"I still want to support the River Cats, but I'm here honestly to watch the Sounds," Robert Sexton said.
