NWS Confirms EF-0 Tornado Touched Down Near Modesto
WATERFORD (CBS13) - The National Weather Service has confirmed that an EF-0 tornado touched down near Waterford in Stanislaus County on Wednesday.
A sheriff's deputy and several other people say they saw debris swirling through the air at 3:45 p.m. at Hickman Elementary School.
The twister caused only minor damage. A large tree was reportedly uprooted; a greenhouse and she were damaged, and a shed blew off its foundation and into a fence.
Fortunately, no one was hurt.
The city of Waterford is 13 miles east of Modesto.
