Crews Contain Fast-Moving Grass Fire North Of Natomas
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Firefighters battled a fire in the North Sacramento area that at one point threatened multiple homes.
More than 100 firefighters were scene near Elkhorn Boulevard and E. Levee Road late Saturday afternoon.
Sacramento Fire says several structures have burned, but it is unclear if they are homes or other buildings.
Voluntary evacuations were ordered for residents north of Elkhorn Boulevard as the grass fire continued to spread.
Crews announced just after 6 p.m. that they had contained the fire and are now working on putting out hot spots.
It is unclear how many acres have been burned.
