Motorcyclist Killed In Fiery Crash On I-80 Near Fairfield
FAIRFIELD (CBS13) – A motorcycle rider was killed in a fiery crash on Interstate 80 Saturday afternoon.
The scene was on the westbound side of the freeway, near the Interstate 680 connector.
According to the Fairfield Fire Department, firefighters showed up at the scene a little before 2 p.m. and found that the motorcycle was fully engulfed in flames. The whole westbound side of the freeway was blocked due to the crash.
The motorcycle rider was pronounced dead at the scene, Fairfield Fire says.
Westbound I-80 in the Fairfield area continues to be seriously congested due to the crash.
