Morgan Freeman's Voice Available For Turn-By-Turn Directions On Waze
Road rage could disappear completely, that is, if everyone uses a new feature available on the app Waze. That's because actor Morgan Freeman is lending his voice to the traffic and navigation app for its turn-by-turn directions.
The feature was rolled out February 22 to promote the new film "London Has Fallen", an action-thriller that opens in theaters on March 4. In it, Freeman plays Congressman Martin Trumbull, says IMDB.
PC Magazine reports some of the phrases Freeman says include:
- "The time has arrived, President Wazer. The world awaits your commands."
- "The American people are counting on you...to drive. Let's go."
- "You've arrived. It's been my honor and duty to see you through this mission."
- "Accident reported ahead. I'll get a line to emergency command."
"Freeman...will be there for Wazers from the start to finish of their driving missions," according to a statement from Waze, which is owned by Google.
Waze has previously featured the voices of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Stephen Colbert, Kevin Hart and C3P0.
To activate Morgan's voice, launch Waze and go to Settings > Sound > Voice Language > Morgan Freeman.
