Firefighters Contain Fire At Modesto Junk Company

MODESTO (CBS13) — Firefighters contained a fire at the Modesto Junk Company on 9th Street Tuesday afternoon.
Modesto Fire says the fire was reported just after 4 p.m. Crews found a large scrap pile on fire in the complex.
Using a ladder truck, crews set up an elevated stream and were able to keep the fire from spreading to any nearby buildings.
Modesto Fire says no injuries were reported and the Stanislaus Fire investigation unit is investigating the cause of the fire.
Modesto police say 9th Street was closed from K Street to Nellie Ave.
