Elliott was last seen wearing a blue denim short-sleeved shirt with denim shorts.

Deputies said he is a "Jeeper, not a hiker." However, Elliot is believed to have gone missing while on foot.

Monday, the Placer County Sheriff's Office announced that search efforts were still ongoing. Search crews are focusing on the Rubicon Springs area.

Officials said Elliott was with a group doing trail work ahead of the Jeep Jamboree next weekend. He was the passenger in his son's jeep and walked away as work was being done on Friday. He hasn't been seen or heard from since.

The Rubicon Trail is a popular off-roading trail near Homewood, though there are multiple areas for someone to enter the trail. The trail features granite slabs, sharp rocks and large boulders.
