Marijuana Grow, Man's Body Discovered In Lathrop House
LATHROP (CBS13) – Police say they discovered the body of a man inside of a home being used as a marijuana growing operation.
The discovery was made at a home along the 500 block of Cold Springs Street Wednesday afternoon, according to the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office. Lathrop police officers were called to the scene on a report of a man down and soon discovered the body.
More than 1,000 marijuana plants – valued at over $50,000 – were also found inside the home, police say.
Investigators are calling the man's death suspicious. An autopsy and toxicology report are pending.
The sheriff's office is now handling the investigation.
