Man Shot And Killed During Modesto Home Invasion Robbery

MODESTO (CBS13) - Police are searching for two men who were reportedly behind a robbery and shooting in Modesto.
The incident happened just before Monday morning in the 800 block of Pine Tree Lane, a few blocks away from nearby Burbank Elementary School.
Two armed suspects reportedly forced a woman and her two children into her home. There, the suspects fired several shots and hit and killed another man who was inside the home, according to a statement from the Modesto Police Department.
Police say they do not know what exactly was taken from the home, but say the incident does not appear to be a random act.
The woman children were not hurt.
