Man Robbed Of Hoverboard At Gunpoint In Stockton

STOCKTON (CBS13) - A Stockton man was robbed of his hoverboard at gunpoint.

The man was riding the self-balancing scooter along Iris Avenue near Iris Court around 6 p.m. when a man rode up on his bicycle, pointed a gun at the man and demanded the scooter, according to a Stockton Police Department statement.

The man handed the device to the robber and walked away.

Police describe the robber as a Black male, 17-18 years old, 5 feet 5 inches tall, and weighs 140 pounds. He has short dreadlocks and was wearing a grey jacket, white hooded sweatshirt, and brown pants.

On December 3, an Elk Grove teen was beaten by a baseball bat and robbed of his hoverboards in the middle of the day at a park by a group of thieves.

One of the suspects later confessed to police.
