Man Dies After He Was Found With Gunshot Wound Following Car Crash Outside Turlock

TURLOCK (CBS13) — A man crashed his car after being shot just outside of Turlock, Modesto Police said on Wednesday.

Steven Elliot Losey, 25, of Riverbank was found with a bullet wound on Tuesday night at around 8:30 p.m. Witnesses say they saw him driving erratically before he crashed on the shoulder of Berkeley Road. He was taken to a hospital where he later died of his injuries.

Another man was found at around 9 p.m. at a Merced County hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Investigators believe the man, who has not been identified, may be connected to Losey's death, though it's not known how they knew each other.
