Man Dies After Climbing Onto Electrical Transformer
FULLERTON, Calif. (AP) - Orange County authorities say a man has died after he climbed onto an electrical transformer and caught fire.
The county coroner says the man died shortly before 6 a.m. Sunday at a hospital.
Authorities say the 42-year-old man climbed onto a transformer at a Southern California electrical substation in Fullerton on Saturday afternoon.
Police alerted to an explosion found the man suffering severe burns. His name hasn't been released.
The incident left more than 600 people without power for about 90 minutes.
