Man Convicted In Lodi DUI Crash Deaths Sentenced To 98 Years To Life In Prison

LODI (CBS13) – The man convicted driving drunk and causing a crash that killed a family of six has been sentenced to life in prison.

A judge handed down the 98 years to life sentence to Ryan Morales on Monday morning. He was convicted on six counts of second degree murder and five counts of gross vehicular manslaughter in the 2013 crash.

Six family members were killed in the crash. A young boy, Eden Miranda, was the only survivor.

According to court documents, Morales' speedometer was stuck at 100 mph – the speed accident investigators believe Morales hit the car.

Documents also showed that Morales had a blood-alcohol level of two-and-a-half times the legal limit.
