Kings' James Anderson To Play Overseas
Shortly after former Sacramento Kings shooting guard James Anderson opted out of his contract on Wednesday, international basketball reporter David Pick wrote that he will continue his career playing overseas.
Anderson would have made $1.4 million next season with the Kings if he had stayed, but instead will try to join a European powerhouse to get more playing time. The move won't be new for Anderson, as he previously left the NBA after 2013-14 with the Philadelphia 76ers for Zalgiris Kaunas of Lithuania before returning to the states before last season.
Anderson had a small role for the Kings in his one season in Sacramento, playing 14 minutes per game and averaging 3.5 points, 1.7 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game.
So far, it's unclear if Anderson plans on returning to the NBA again, the 27-year-old has averaged 5.8 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game spanning 247 NBA games in his career.
